Subject: RE: [cgmo-webcgm] Summary of day 1
Hi, Here are my thoughts on the summary: Font interchange: -what is currently available in WebCGM 2.0 (font properties)? -what is the current practice of authoring tools and viewers? Text search: -if the user only cares about the 'content' attribute, then yes something similar to the sample would work; if not, i.e., if the user wants to extract strings from a restricted text element; then a new API is needed. Compression of CGM files: -there should be a way of determining from the header if the file is compressed or not, is this sufficient? Multi-picture metafiles: -PTC is not in favor of bringing back multi-picture CGM. We will review this morning.
