Subject: RE: [cgmo-webcgm] Groups - WebCGM21-WD-20080316.zip uploaded
Lofton, Thanks for all the good work. Stuart and I will carefully integrate what we have left to do. We will try to get the "final" posted by Mar 24th for a TC ballot during the telcon of Mar 26th. Dave Technical Fellow - Graphics/Digital Data Interchange Boeing Commercial Airplane 206.544.3560, fax 206.662.3734 david.w.cruikshank@boeing.com -----Original Message----- From: Lofton Henderson [mailto:lofton@rockynet.com] Sent: Sunday, March 16, 2008 1:56 PM To: cgmo-webcgm@lists.oasis-open.org Subject: Re: [cgmo-webcgm] Groups - WebCGM21-WD-20080316.zip uploaded All -- This is (almost) the final version that I will produce. I won't be able to integrate any more technical material, but I hope (in the next 48 hours) to tend to a little bit of cleanup -- things like removing the green note/issue highlights, linkcheck, etc. STATUS: ----- Here is what did not make it in to this wd2. If these are to be part of the 1st CD, Dave/Stuart will have to integrate these: ** all of new Ch.9 contents, "Application configurable items" (Dave) ** More DOM/XCF style properties (pan/zoom, etc) (Stuart/Dave) Everything else is in, including geometric transform. I spent most of the last two days working out reasonable transform stuff -- for the DOM interface, XCF, and ECMAScript -- and putting it into the XHTML form of the document. I'm sure you will find (transform) issues to discuss. For example, I exercised editor's discretion to implement in XCF as XML attributes, not new elements. Because: *much* easier editorially; and, IMO the sub-elements option offers no advantage commensurate with the increased complexity. ISSUES: ----- Speaking of issues -- at this point, any technical issues on this wd2 should be handled as comments on CD1, to be published by month's end. (So maybe sit on 'em for a bit.) CD01 COVER PAGE: ----- Finally, you will find the proposed cover page for CD1, assuming 26 March TC vote, here: webcgm-v2.1-index-CD01.html DAVE: after I finish with light clean-up, and after you/Stuart finish your drafting, this file should be renamed (delete "-CD01") and become the cover page for the TC vote. PASSING EDITOR'S TORCH: ----- I still own the document till CoB Tuesday. Then, Dave will have my final files -- at most, a little cleanup on these. Then he can integrate remaining bits for TC vote. Dave, Stuart -- feel free to circulate your proposals as email, while I try to put a little more into tidy-up. Questions? Comments? Thanks, -Lofton.
