Subject: Re: AW: [cgmo-webcgm] QUESTION: 'maplist' or 'mapList'?
All,
I would strongly opt for changing the DTD to mapList. I was thinking about a potential problem here by myself yesterday after reading Forrests comments, but then saw the maplist in the DTD (without reading the accompanying chapters). I found it odd but didn t ask, but will do so in the future in similar cases.
Regards
Ulrich

Actually, given our naming conventions (camel-case) and the way the prose text is written, that would seem to indicate what is the right answer: mapList.
The only downside of that choice is that we have to fix some tests (and check implementations).

Arghhh! You are right, Forrest.
I was looking at the section title: "9.3.2.2 The 'mapList' element",
and, "<!ELEMENT fontMap ( defaultFont?, mapList* ) >",
and numerous 'mapList' references in the text.
"mapList" uses our camel-case convention.

But the DTD snippet, one example, and the full DTD have 'maplist'.
So there is an error that we have to fix in the chapter. (Odd that no one mentioned it yet.)
QUESTION: do we want to fix it to 'mapList' in the DTD and example, or leave it as the odd exception and fix the text references to 'maplist'?

-Lofton.

Subject: Re: AW: [cgmo-webcgm] 4 wegcgm ACI tests update
Don -- I have done a spot check, and there seems to be a general problem with case of the XML element and attribute names. For example, maplist instead of mapList, in addition to fontmap/fontMap. Since XML is case-sensitive, these would not conform to the ACI DTD.
Before I further analyze the FC & UL reviews and do the matrix-update cycle, could you please fix just this issue on all affected tests, and then send a message indicating which of the tests were updated?
Thanks,
Lofton.

All,
Reading Forrest s review I have actually missed this issue:
fontmap vs. fontMap is also an issue in the following 3 aci files:
aciDefaultFont.aci
aciForceSubstitution.aci
aciSimpleFontSubstitution.aci

Betreff: AW: [cgmo-webcgm] 4 wegcgm ACI tests update
All,
I checked the four test cases listed below:
aciDefaultFont
aciMitreLimit
aciRestrictedTextType
aciSimpleFontSubstitution (latest version of today)
as well as the test cases:
zCompress
aciForceSubstitution (newly submitted today)
The issues I raised were corrected except that in the aciMitreLimit case the CGM file still says MitreLimit = 1 while the aci file and the description both mention a value of 5.
Beside this issue everything else is OK from my point of view.

Ulrich
