Don, Thanks for the results of your investigation. Per the discussion in this morning's telecon, we want to verify: 1.) Is the description and test case valid, in the sense that it conforms to HTML (and WebCGM) rules? I.e., is this a standard-conforming workaround for the <object> data/param bug of IE. (Apparently it would only work for a single metafile per HTML document, since the onload handler is on the HTML <body>.) 2.) can other implementations successfully execute it, perhaps with a little modification like Don did? Forrest, Ulrich, Benoit -- we are particularly interested in your take on this approach to getting access to the metafile before it is first displayed. (All -- Does that accurately summarize what additional info we decided to solicit from the implementors and TC members?) -Lofton.
