Dieter, Contrary to my earlier recollection, this is not in fact a 1992 Defect Resolution that slipped through in 1999. Nevertheless, I do remember the problem, probably from old HSI days. (Note that your section number references are off by 1 in most significant part: should be 6.4.5 and 7.6.) I think the long form is correct. 1. LIB is in the abbreviations of 6.4.4. 2. I don't see a single case of multi-word element name in 6.4.5, where a word is dropped altogether in forming the element name. -Lofton. p.s. Maybe there should be a 1999 defects page on the web site.
