What I said in my previous reply is correct -- I think the reference PNG 
shows the right result, because of lack of 'viewcontext' or 'region' APS 
attribute on the target object.  But what you said above is also 
correct.  As I re-read the operator script, I think the wording of the 4th 
paragraph could be improved.
