planning for Orlando

Chairs:

OASIS is starting to make plans for the GCA XML conference in Orlando in
December. It's a pretty big event for us as a large number of our members
participate. We're looking at doing some things that involve the technical
committees, so I wanted to get your feedback.

* As we usually do for the major conferences, OASIS will provide meeting
space for any TC that wants to hold a committee meeting. We can also provide
space if you would like to hold a public meeting to attract new members. I
know it's early, but I'd like to start getting an idea of how many TCs might
like to hold meetings there.

* We would also like to put together a conference track to present OASIS
technical work. We normally give a 15 minute status report of OASIS
technical activities at every GCA event, but this time we would like to also
have an entire track and give each TC the opportunity of giving a 20-30
minute presentation on their work. This presentation could be given by the
TC chair or other TC member. I need to know in the next couple of weeks if
you might be interested in doing this; please let me know by June 8, as we
need to get proposals for tracks to GCA by June 12.
