Subject: INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAINTAINING AN OASIS TC PAGE

OASIS TC chairs:
OASIS strives to maintain consistency among all its TC web pages, while
still allowing TCs to retain control over their own content. To ensure
that all OASIS TC pages present basic information in a uniform manner,
we ask that you review your page to be certain it adheres to the
following guidelines. (If another member of your TC is responsible for
page maintenance, please forward this message.)

1. Page title
All page titles should be expressed as 'OASIS <INSERT NAME> TC'. No
other text should appear in this area.
Example: "OASIS Security Services TC"

2. Yellow box
This area provides space for a 10-25 word description of what your TC
does. It should be a brief summary of your official Charter.
Example: "Defining XACML, an XML specification for expressing policies
for information access over the Internet"

3. Update
The date in the upper right corner should be edited each time new
content is added.

4. Table of Contents
All TC pages should use the same ToC as provided in the OASIS TC page
template: Announcements, Charter, Overview, Membership, Mailing Lists,
Documents, Meetings/Minutes, Press. Please do not edit this ToC without
consulting the OASIS webmaster.

5. Announcements
Use this area to post information on upcoming meetings, major milestones
and other announcements. Please delete entries as they become outdated.
Note: OASIS may feature entries from this area on the Consortium's
homepage (under MEMBER INFORMATION) and in the bi-weekly e-newsletter,
OASIS News.

6. Charter
This is the official TC Charter which was initially submitted for the
creation of the TC, or later changed and accepted by vote of the TC.

7. Membership
This section should feature the following text:

"Any employee of an OASIS member organization or individual OASIS member
may join the TC. Voting and membership rules are documented in the OASIS
TC Process, http://oasis-open.org/committees/process.shtml. Contact the
TC chair if you are eligible and interested in joining the TC.

The following TC members have special duties."

Provide a bulleted list of all TC officers (chair, secretary, editor,
etc.) Include a) TC title, b) name c) company (if OASIS Sponsor or
Contributor) and d) email address. Note: Each page *must* list contact
information for the TC chair. Other officers may be listed at the
discretion of the TC.

"Voting members of this TC include:"

Either provide a link to a TC member list or post this directly on the
TC page. List a) name and b) company (if OASIS Sponsor or Contributor)
of all your current TC members. TC pages should not list email address
for TC members (except the TC chair and officers).

Note: Do *not* list company names for OASIS Individual members.
Reference http://www.oasis-open.org/about/ for a complete list of all
OASIS Sponsors and Contributors. If a TC member's company does not
appear on this page, he/she should be listed as 'Individual' without any
reference to company.

8. Mailing Lists
This information is supplied by OASIS and should not be edited by
individual TCs. Questions on the mailing lists should be directed to
karl.best@oasis-open.org.

9. Documents
Use this area to provide links to documents germane to your work.

10. Schedule and Minutes
Use this area to provide a schedule of upcoming conference calls and F2F
meetings. Include links to minutes from past meetings. Rather than
adding a document with the meeting minutes to the web site, you should
simply provide a URL for the minutes that were posted to the TC mail
list.
Example:
http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/security-services/200103/msg00024.h
tml.

11. Press
TCs that have been featured in trade publications should include links
in this area. Carol Geyer will alert TCs of appropriate articles
whenever possible.

"The following articles feature information about our work:"

<List articles by title, publication, date with links.>

"If you are a journalist or analyst looking for information on this
OASIS TC, please contact Carol Geyer, OASIS Director of Communications,
carol.geyer@oasis-open.org, +1 978 667 5115 x209."

12. Maintenance Responsibility
The last line of all TC pages must provide contact info for the person
responsible for maintaining the content of the page (either the OASIS
webmaster or a designated member of the TC), using the following
mechanism: "This OASIS <INSERT NAME> TC web page is maintained by
<INSERT EMAIL ADDRESS>."
Example: "This OASIS Conformance TC web page is maintained by
webmaster@oasis-open.org."

Thank you for taking the time to follow these guidelines. Your
cooperation is very much appreciated.
