TC Chairs:

Two items related to the XML Europe 2002 conference in Barcelona:

1. A few weeks ago I sent out a message regarding OASIS' involvement in
Barcelona, and asked for you to let us know if your TC would be holding
meetings there so that we could arrange rooms for you. This is a
reminder to let us know as soon as possible. In my initial message I
asked for you to let us know by 15 March, but if it's possible and as a
courtesy to the people who are making the room arrangements we would
like to know sooner than that.

2. We've been discussing the idea of providing training to our TC chairs
in order to enhance your skills in running the TCs. This would consist
of training in leadership and meeting management skills, a discussion of
the OASIS Process, and a discussion to provide feedback to OASIS on
improvements that could be made in our technical work.

Before we make the effort to organize this I need to know how many
chairs will be attending the Barcelona conference and would be
interested in attending. Given that nearly half of our chairs are in
Europe the Barcelona conference seems to be the right time to offer
this. Please let me know as soon as possible if you could attend this.

Also, if you have any suggestions for a good person to conduct the
leadership/management training please let me know.
