Subject: RE: [chairs] A question for the Chairs
I think providing some standard ways to facilitate creating issues via something like Kavi could be good. Its been my experience with this that typically I see XML/XSL being used in many different bodies that seems to derive from a W3C format for issue tracking. But the knowledge of how to work with and extend this is ad-hoc and passed from editor to editor. I think providing an OASIS template for an XML/XSL issue list format and some supporting instructions for use would be valuable similar to the spectools. I would not want to see this option go away if a central mechanism via something like Kavi issue lists were deployed. Regards, Marc g -----Original Message----- From: Karl F. We've suggested to the Kavi folks the addition of this feature, and they are considering it as a major functionality enhancement for a future release. If they decide not to do this then OASIS IT staff may be able to do something. No promises on timing, though. -Karl Wachob, Gabe wrote: > I would definitely find a lot of advantage in a "problem reporting/issue tracking" (bug reporting) system. I get the sense that most of us manage these things "by hand". In many cases, I see TC's keeping "issues" documents in the document repository, which seems suboptimal since the current issue list is only published when the issues list maintainer decides to upload the file. > > -Gabe Wachob > XRI TC Co-chair > > >>-----Original Message----- >>From: Jeff Kenton [mailto:jkenton@datapower.com] >>Sent: Thursday, October 16, 2003 8:29 AM >>To: karl.best@oasis-open.org >>Cc: chairs@lists.oasis-open.org >>Subject: [chairs] A question for the Chairs >> >> >> >>A Question: >> >>My Committee, the XSLT / XPath Conformance TC, has produced a >>conformance test suite comprising several thousand test >>cases.
