Subject: OASIS Open Standards Day Australia: Call for Participation

OASIS TC chairs:
As part of the OASIS Open Standards Day program http://www.oasis-open.org/news/open_standard_day.php, consortium member, Allette
Systems, is hosting an event in Sydney, Australia, 16-28 October 2005 http://www.open-standards.com.

OASIS Open Standards Day Australia 2005 will be the third annual Asia Pacific event where management and technical professionals
from the business and government sectors gather to share expertise and experience about the latest technologies, applications, and
services supporting the global e-Business community. 

This year's event will provide the Asia-Pacific region with a substantial program focused on a variety of OASIS Standards and
specifications. The event is targeted towards professionals that encourage the use of standards-based technology to improve
efficiency and interoperability between business partners.

Allette Systems and OASIS cordially invite TC chairs and members to submit conference and tutorial proposals related to any of the
following topics: 

~ ebXML and associated standards
~ e-Government applications at all levels of government (federal, state and local) 
~ Standards relating to security such as PKI and SAML 
~ Web services 
~ Localisation initiatives such as XLIFF 
~ Vertical industry standards such as TaxXML, LegalXML implementations, etc successful case studies on open standards-based
integration and interoperability 
~ Other topics of interest to the standards community
