Subject: Re: [chairs] OASIS TC Public Home Pages

Where does calendar information - call schedule, next f2f, etc. go?

[chairs] OASIS TC Public Home Pages

OASIS TC chairs:
The public homepage for each TC is its face to the outside world. This is where prospective participants, implementers, business
decision-makers, industry analysts, and reporters go to learn about your work. It's the first place people look for the latest
announcements, specification releases, TC white papers, presentations, webinars, and other related information.

Currently, some TCs make better use of their public homepages than others, and the location and inclusion of important data varies
greatly from TC to TC.

To address this situation, OASIS staff have developed a template for Committee public homepages. This template will ensure that key
information for every TC is provided in a consistent format. All new TC homepages will be created using this template and existing
TC homepages will be transitioned to it over the next two weeks.

Appreciating that TC chairs have different preferences, schedules, and sensitivities when it comes to this task, we're offering a
few options that will ease the transition for everyone.  Please select the one that works best for you and inform
tc-support@oasis-open.org of your choice.

Option 1: Those who are comfortable using an XHTML editor may implement the new template themselves, provided they have time to do
so before 30 December.

Option 2: Those who would prefer to review the required data fields in the template may simply email the information to
tc-support@oasis-open.org by 23 December, and OASIS staff will plug it in and upload the formatted page.

Option 3: OASIS staff will take the lead in creating the homepage (chairs are always free to edit the text at any time). Staff will
contact chairs directly with specific questions or requests.

If you prefer Options 1 or 2, please let us know by sending email to tc-support@oasis-open.rog before 20 December. Otherwise, we
will assume you want staff to initiate the transition.

The template is located at http://docs.oasis-open.org/templates/TCPublicPageTemplate.htm, and instructions for its use are at
http://docs.oasis-open.org/templates/TCPublicPageTemplateInstructions.html. Guidelines for creating and maintaining pubic pages for
OASIS Committees are at http://www.oasis-open.org/private/maintain.php.

Our goal is to have all TC homepages formatted using this template by the end of December. We appreciate your assistance in making
this possible.

Best regards,
Carol
