FYI: if you do not know about getting public feedback from your TC's -comment email list

Hi all,

I found myself explaining comment lists to folks a few times lately so
I thought it a good idea to let you all know that (a) they exist and
(b) you want to watch them because that's where public feedback will
be sent. If you are familiar with comment lists, you can move on to
the next task on your list.

If you're not, then quickly:

- Every TC, when it starts up, gets 3 email lists: the main TC mailing
list at <tcname>@lists.oasis-open.org (e.g.
legaldocml@lists.oasis-open.org), a roster administration mailing list
with address <tcname>-chair@ and a comment list at
<tc-name>-comment@lists.oasis-open.org (e.g.
legaldocml-comment@lists.oasis-open.org).

- The -comment mailing list is the only channel the TC is allowed to
use to collect feedback from outside the TC. Whenever I announce a
public review, I include a link to the TC's -comment@ list and there
is a button for providing feedback on each TC web page that directs
commenters to that list.

- And THE KEY POINT: you are not automatically subscribed to your TC
-comment@ mailing list. You need to sign up and/or assign the
responsibility to a TC member.

To subscribe, send an email to
<tcname>-comment-subscribe@lists.oasis-open.org and reply to the
confirmation message sent. I recommend that all Chairs subscribe to
their TC's comment list and that you also get one other volunteer to
monitor them, either the Secretary or an editor.

Lastly, note that even after a TC completes its work and closes down,
the -comment@ list remains open so that future comments or questions
can be submitted. It makes sense if your TC closes to have a few
people watching in case any future comments come in.
