Subject: RE: FW: Query about the xNL Specification
Hi Paul, The idea is that if the subdivision name changes you use the top level KnownAs structure and provide the whole new name. This may be a bit awkward in some situations, but having KnownAs under Subdivision is not ideal either. I'll log this as an issue for consideration. Do you want to answer the question on my behalf? Copy the question to CIQ TC also. It is just that I am being asked the question by potential users. It appears to my reading (and I may be wrong, not the first time!) that the KnownAs element is only applicable to the top level organisation name and cannot be applied to any of the subsequent division levels. If this statement is true, what is the underlying concept behind KnownAs as I would have thought it should be applied to all levels of the organisation naming hierarchy. What am I missing. BTW I think version 3 is a great improvement on previous versions.
