Subject: [ciq] An important question between Schema and DTD
Guys I need some suggestions regarding DTD when it comes to namespaces. Can you tell me how we are going to support external namespaces in our standards using DTDs? For example, the next version of the CIQ standards will support external namespaces in the schema (you can use elements/attributes of other schemas into ciq standards. For example, name and address elements/attributes not supported in xNAL can be imported into xNAL from other external namespaces). This has been a requirement for many who are implementing standards. I do not know how we are going to support this feature in DTD. Is there any good document that talks abouthandling namespaces in DTD? Please advise. This is a very important issue if we want to move forward with namespace support for our standards.
