Subject: RE: [ciq] UBL addresses
Colin, Now a bit of background for your information. CIQ is in liaison with UBL since 2001 and I represent CIQ at the UBL meetings. I even attended last week's UBL conference call. UBL were very keen to use CIQ specs. They started looking into CIQ specs. and were very happy with it in terms of its coverage of Global addresses. But, as others, UBL decided to have their own addressing elements, particularly in V1.0 (though the earlier beta versions used CIQ xAL heavily) and defined their own set of addressing elements and when you look into their addressing elements, they cannot handle addresses globally. However, UBL has borrowed many of the addressing elements from CIQ. Can you tell me what addressing elements that we need to look at?
