CIQ TC,
The OASIS Tax XML Conference (face to face meeting)
is being held
here in Sydney during this week. About 50+
participants from governments
of different countries such as U.K, USA, Australia,
New Zealand, Netherlands,
germany, etc and many other parties attended the
conference. John Glaubitz
and Michael Roytman (members of CIQ and TaxXML) also came from the USA.
XBRL and UBL were also represented.
CIQ was given a session to explain more about CIQ,
itss goals, what it has achieved,
its plans, etc. Michael and John developed a
prototype based on some of the tax forms
of the USA/UK government and used CIQ schemas as
part of the prototype to demonstrate
how CIQ meets the requirements of party
identification model in Tax XML. The presentation
went very well and Joh, Michael and I shared the
presentation. The objective of this presentation
was to generate enough interest amoung the Tax XML
community to adopt CIQ specs. for
party models.
The feedback was extremely positive and we three
strongly believe that Tax XML is convinced to use
CIQ specs. I have also taken from the feedbacks
certain things that can be added to the
implementation guidelines section of the xNAL V3.0
document I circulated.
I need your cooperation to work on the
implementation considerations sections to add whatever
you think will be valuable to end users. Even
straightforward stuff can be included. We have to give
lot of attention to
this section.
CIQ Implementation experiences of Hido, Max and
Michael, I believe can add lot of value to this
section.
Thank you very much Michael and John for your
excellent effort in preparing the presentation
and helping me with the presentation. I will send
the presentation material in a separate email.
I am having a discussion with Joe Lubenow tomorrow
in UPU addresses.
Regards,
Ram
