National Name and Address Project from Australian Govt.

CIQ TC,

 

The Australian Federal Government has initiated a national name and address standards

project. Three key standards are being used in this initiative:

 

-CIQ

- ebXML CC (Name and Address)

- AS4590 : Australian Standard for Client Data Interchange

 

The objective of this project is to develop national name and address XML schemas

for AS4590 and then define methodologies to interoperate AS4590 with CIQ and with UU/CEFACT CC.

The reason why they had to do this is because the above three standards are used by agencies

in Australia.
