CIQ TC members,
The following terrible new came as a shock to me.
For those of us who have been with
CIQ TC since 2001 know Marcus Goncalves. Marcus was
an active member of CIQ TC from
2001-2003 and played a significant role in the
release of CIQ V2.0. He has attended a couple
of our face to face meetings. It is indeed very
sad to hear the loss of his two children.
I have sent a condolence message to Marcus and his
family on behalf of our TC.

MGCG Mourns the Loss of Andrea and Joshua
Goncalves
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who
believes in me will live, even though he dies." Jn 11:25

Dear Friend...
The Goncalves' family communicate the passing of their children
Andrea (17 year old) and Joshua (10 year old) on March 26, 2006,
as a result of a car accident. Their children were buried today in
Southborough.
Joshua Goncalves, 10, a little boy with a big heart. He
was a good friend to many, always ready to listen or give advice.
He was wise beyond his years. A friend to all, Joshua made
everyone feel special. He often made his own cards, giving each a
personal touch. Joshua loved life and made the most of every
moment. He enjoyed being outside. Whether on a bike, or a
skateboard, or with a ball in his hands, he was always ready for
his next adventure. He couldn't wait to use his new shoes for
Capoeira, a Brazilian martial arts class he enjoyed. He even
encouraged his older brother Samir to participate. Joshua enjoyed
Sunday mornings being at church with his friends. His teachers
were impressed with the deep convictions he demonstrated in
classroom discussions and prayers. When discussing the fruits of
the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), one classmate chose faithfulness
as the fruit that best described Joshua. He also enjoyed playing
football in the gym on Sunday mornings while waiting for class to
begin. Joshua caught the winning touchdown his last Sunday
Andrea Goncalves, 17, was also known for her big heart.
She loved God, her family and her friends deeply. Andrea cared
greatly that her heart and her actions honored God. She lived life
as though she felt God’s presence in her life daily. Her family
was very important to her. Even as a teen, Andrea had a
tremendously close and intimate relationship with her parents. She
was “daddy’s little girl”. She admired her parents and enjoyed
being with them. She was completely open and vulnerable with them,
sharing her heart and life. Andrea was proud of both of her
brothers, Samir and Joshua. Samir was a loving brother and friend
to her. He always watched over her and was there when she needed a
close friend. Joshua and Andrea were inseparable. Joshua would
often tell Andrea how much he loved her and she always took care
of him and attended to his needs. Andrea drew people to her. She
had deep, close childhood friendships and was also eager to make
new friends. Wherever she went, people were immediately attracted
to her fun attitude and her ability to make everyone laugh. Andrea
made everyone feel loved and included with a smile or a hug.She
loved being with people and did her best to make everyone happy.
Her friendships were deep because Andrea was open and vulnerable.
She constantly offered encouragement to her friends and never let
them forget that she loved them. She was an integral part of the
teen ministry at her church. Her knowledge of God’s word and desire
to apply it to her life and do what is right is worthy of
imitation. Andrea was a shining star to all of us and we will
never forget her. She has touched all of our lives and her spirit
will live with us forever. Words cannot adequately express our
love for Andrea and how greatly she will be missed.
The Broken Chain We knew little that morning that God
was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death
we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go
alone; for part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and
though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family
chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as God calls us
one by one, the chain will link again. (Author unknown)
