Subject: "Cloud Authorization Use Cases V1.0" Committee Note 01 published

OASIS Members,

OASIS is pleased to announce the approval and publication of an OASIS Committee Note (CN) by the members of the OASIS Cloud Authorization (CloudAuthZ) TC [1]:

Cloud Authorization Use Cases Version 1.0
Committee Note 01
19 November 2014

'Cloud Authorization user Cases Version 1.0' examines the requirements for authorization in the cloud using commonly defined cloud deployment and service models.  These use cases are intended to be used for further analysis to determine if functional gaps exist in current identity management standards that additional open standards activities could address.

The prose specification document and related files are available here:

Members of the OASIS Cloud Authorization (CloudAuthZ) TC [1] requested a Full Majority Vote to approve the Committee Note. The Committee Note Draft had been released for public review as required by the TC Process [2]. The vote to approve at Committee Note (CN) level passed [3], and the approved CN01 is now available online in the
OASIS Library as referenced above.

Our congratulations to the TC on achieving this milestone and our thanks to the reviewers who provided feedback on the specification drafts to help improve the quality of the work.
