The “object by id” URI template described in 3.6.1.1 is used to support the getObject service (2.2.4.7) in the “2.2.4 Object Services” section.

In the v1.00 cd06 version of CMIS specification (http://docs.oasis-open.org/cmis/CMIS/v1.0/cd06/cmis-spec-v1.0.html)

In the "2.2.4 Object Services" part we don't speak about the getObjectById service that are describe in the "3.6.1.1 Object By Id" part.
