Length attribute of Rendition

Hello,

 

As reported by issue CMIS-503 (https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/CMIS-503), some renditions are generated on-the-fly and the repository doesn't know its length up-front.

This issue has been fixed in the CMIS 1.0 specification since 2009, by making the length attribute of a rendition optional.

In the CMIS 1.1 specification this change has been reverted.

 

Is there any reason why this change is reverted, or has this been an error?

I can’t seem to find any documentation or comment about this change.
