Subject: Re: [cmis-marketing] CMIS Marketing Meeting Minutes: 18 Sept 2012
Now that 1.1 is official is there at way we can put a link to the 'CMIS and Apache Chemistry in Action' book (which is about 1.1)
http://www.manning.com/mueller/
on the 1.1 announcement page:
https://www.oasis-open.org/news/announcements/content-management-interoperability-services-cmis-version-1-1-approved-and-publis
Perhaps maybe a related materials section or something like that.
The ebook that is available today is complete now (14 chapters - 560 pps) and the printed edition will be available in July.

[cmis-marketing] CMIS Marketing Meeting Minutes: 18 Sept 2012

CMIS Interop Demo: Fall 2012
Jane reported that two companies expressed interest in participating in a CMIS interop at the Gilbane Conference in Boston. We need commitments from at least three companies to make the event worthwhile. Jane also reported that, while a few members liked the idea of hosting a CMIS Interop at the Sharepoint Conference in Las Vegas, none was able to confirm their participation.
AI: All members should discuss the Gilbane opportunity internally and let Jane know ASAP if they want to participate.
CMIS Book Update
There is much excitement around the release. Seventy books were sold in the first three days of the MEAP being available. New chapters are on the way. The full manuscript may be complete by the end of 2012, so the printed publication will begin early next year. It's possible OASIS could host a book signing in conjunction with a CMIS event, e.g., Interop Demo, in the Spring of 2013.
CMIS Wikipedia page
Current content is a mess. We need to add more descriptive information on CMIS is and links to the specs. Team to consider if this is an appropriate place for the implementations list that's there.
AI: Carol to take a first pass at reviewing content; team to discuss further.
