Subject: Re: [cmis] Nikunj's blog postings on AtomPub vs CMIS
It has definitely been the goal of the binding to support generic atom clients as well as APP clients. We've run a myriad of atom clients against the ibm prototype and don't see the issues identified.
The specification, naturally, can be more specific, but I don't know where there are statements in the spec that prohibit atom and app clients working.
It is always good to go through this exercise periodically.
