Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (CMIS-201) Explain why baseTypeand baseTypeQueryName are specified

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/CMIS-201?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=11398#action_11398 ]

Ryan McVeigh commented on CMIS-201:
-----------------------------------

There are 3 things:
    * a property type attribute baseType
    * another property type attribute baseTypeQueryName
    * a property (on document/folder/etc) BaseTypeId

I was questioning the first two, which still exist. I see 3 proposals in CMIS-87 (2 in comments, one in proposal section) and I am not seeing how any of these was implemented (they all suggest removing baseTypeQueryName from type).

> What is the point of including both baseType and baseTypeQueryName when for all 4 base types they have the same value (except for case, but query names are not case sensitive).
