Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (CMIS-255) Content StreamException Handling is over-specified in rest binding.

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/CMIS-255?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12391#action_12391 ]

Ryan McVeigh commented on CMIS-255:
-----------------------------------

A couple of issues here. First: ContentStreamFilename was previously RS in 0.5 and I haven't seen an issue to make this Read Only, so that's probably just a typo and should be changed.

There's no way to determine the difference between a content stream that's always truly read-only and one that is read-only until checked out. There should be.

The ReST spec doesn't appear to be in agreement with the domain model and it should be. Shouldn't it just refer to the canSetContent allowable action?

> 862 & 870 - "If the document is not checked out, an exception will be thrown." However the domain model allows a type to have updatability = readwrite which allows updates to be made without checking out a PWC. So I think this should just rely on the exceptions stated in the domain model for this service (and these sentences can be removed).
