Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (CMIS-482) Define the reaction ofgetFolderParent and getObjectParents if they are called with the rootfolder

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/CMIS-482?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15203#action_15203 ]

Florent Guillaume commented on CMIS-482:
----------------------------------------

I'd prefer getObjectParents to return just an empty list, as it's not really an exceptional condition here. The semantics are clear (same as for an unfiled document).
For getFolderParent which is spec'ed to return a single object I guess an exception has to be raised. Unless there's a simple way to make it return null / not set / whatever that fits the existing bindings.
