Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (CMIS-505) getObjectParentsconfusing
[ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/CMIS-505?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16982#action_16982 ] Al Brown commented on CMIS-505: ------------------------------- JIRA Cleanup > getObjectParents confusing > -------------------------- > > Key: CMIS-505 > URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/CMIS-505 > Project: OASIS Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) TC > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: Web Services Binding > Affects Versions: Draft 0.63 > Reporter: Martin Hermes > Assignee: Al Brown > Fix For: Draft 0.63 > > > The method getObjectParents has a parameter includeObjectPaths. The objectPath is returned as a property. I would expect that if objectPath is a property, the filter determines if the property is returned or not. On the other hand getObjectParents() is the only method which returns this property. If objectPath is a property, I would also expect that each method returning properties can include this property. To avoid this confusion I would suggest not returning objectPath as a property but adding an additional field "path" to the response structure of getObjectParents. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
