Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Created: (CMIS-666) POSTing to the folderpath and to the objecteId of a folder should have the same effect
POSTing to the folder path and to the objecteId of a folder should have the same effect --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Key: CMIS-666 URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/CMIS-666 Project: OASIS Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) TC Issue Type: Improvement Components: Browser Binding Affects Versions: Browser Binding Proposal Reporter: Florian Mueller The current draft defines that POSTing to the path creates a document while POSTing to the objectId updates the folder. That is confusing. Both URLs should be able to do both. A possible way to distinguish what the client is aiming to achieve is to check for the presents of the property cmis:objectTypeId. It must be set if an object should be created. It must not be set if the folder should be updated. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
