Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (CMIS-669) add CMIS TypeMutability for next version of spec
[ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/CMIS-669?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=21901#action_21901 ] Jay Brown commented on CMIS-669: -------------------------------- CreateType: Yes. this would apply to cmis:id at both levels; type and property. I was not going to permit local name and local namespace to be set by the client. (in the examples in the doc they are not passed in, but I have not written up a normative description of what is taking place there so that may be unclear) localname: I don't see any reason to let the client set the localname. If the server wants to take a hint on this value it can get it from the cmis:id hint which must be supplied. Would that be ok, or do you think the client would want to supply a hint for localname that is different. I was thinking that generally localname should be opaque to cmis clients. local namespace: We don't use local namespace so If you think we should take a name hint for this one in the same pattern that is fine with me. You would have a better handle on the use cases for that one. > add CMIS Type Mutability for next version of spec > ------------------------------------------------- > > Key: CMIS-669 > URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/CMIS-669 > Project: OASIS Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) TC > Issue Type: New Feature > Components: Domain Model > Environment: n/a > Reporter: Jay Brown > > Have submitted a draft to the TC documents, to get this discussion started.
