Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (CMIS-693) CMIS RepositoryExtensions

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/CMIS-693?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=23768#action_23768 ]

Jay Brown commented on CMIS-693:
--------------------------------

I'm not sure where the idea of virtual content came from. The document is suggesting that these be 'regular' cmis documents which any cmis 1.0 repository could host today with no changes. At least that was my intent. If there is a problem with folders off of the root then I would be willing to change that aspect if there are suggestions.
Concerning Florian's suggestion of putting this info into the repository into structure:
I had originally wanted to do the extensions in that manner and had even scratched up some schema but eventually threw it away since I thought the TC would be warmer to the idea if we did not have to have a schema change. :) I am certainly fine with doing this with optional schema additions as well. I just wanted to clarify though that for this particular document I was shooting for a 'best practice' that would work with MOST cmis repositories without any changes.
