Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Created: (CMIS-694) Allow Property ID's to becase insensitive

Allow Property ID's to be case insensitive
------------------------------------------

                 Key: CMIS-694
                 URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/CMIS-694
Project: OASIS Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) TC
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: Domain Model
    Affects Versions: V1.1
            Reporter: Gregory Melahn

Property id's are case sensitive. One of the consequences of this is that the browser binding needs to map HTML form field names (which are case insensitive) to the CMIS case sensitive id's. It would be simpler and more human understandable if the property id's could be used directly in an HTML form.

Is there some good reason we decided to make them case sensitive? Does any server implementation actually depend on this, and would break if we relaxed this restriction in 1.1?
