Subject: Re: [cmis] 9 July TC meeting canceled; Final review
Hi David, In my opinion, it's more important to have a solid specification than rushing the approval process. The draft is a 330 pages document plus schema and example files. I would like to encourage the TC to review it rather sooner than later because it takes some time. Early August seems to be feasible. I'm available till August and happy to incorporate any feedback into the draft. To all: At this final stage of v1.1 development, it is important that we make a conscious effort to assure the quality and workability of the draft before we take it through the OASIS approval process. I am glad Adam's team is making an effort to review the draft. I understand many of you are anxious to get v1.1 out quickly. To avoid any further delay, I am asking the following: (1) Anyone who feels strongly that we should start the approval process as soon as we incorporated all the latest fixes (instead of waiting till mid August) should let us know now. (2) Anyone who needed even more time (than mid August) to review the draft should also make a request now. We want to avoid successive requests. If we do not hear from either, we shall aim to start the approval process in mid August as requested by Adam (or sooner if Adam's team can do it quicker). This means that we should have all the review comments in by early August. This schedule is dependent on the availability of our Editors and also on the availability of a majority of our voting members to vote electronically in August. Comments? Thank you for your cooperation and patience. Best regards, David On Thu, Jul 12, 2012 at 9:32 AM, Adam Harmetz
