Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (CMIS-758) Discussion of more powerful batch operations for next version

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/CMIS-758?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=34456#action_34456 ]

Florian Müller commented on CMIS-758:
-------------------------------------

The retrieving batch part seems to a specific type of query ("... WHERE cmis:objectId IN ('id1', 'id2', 'id3')"). Would it be simpler (and maybe backwards compatible) to use the existing query interface?

The update batch suffers from the problem that the result of one operation could be required as the input of the next operation. For example the batch could create a folder and add documents to the folder. The folder id of newly created folder would be required for the document creations. That wouldn't work with this proposal.
