It has come up before: hierarchical/complex properties is listed under "Topics deferred from v1" (of CMIS)

So it does make a lot of sense to me to get a current status from the CMIS group and to collaborate on the topic.

Do you think it would be appropriate to bring up our discussion on structured properties at a future CMIS meeting?

That requirement is of course not specific to DAM, so I'm sure it's come up before, and we would do well to try follow concepts already under consideration if possible.
