Subject: StC draft minutes from 9 April meeting

The OASIS COSL Member Section Steering Committee met by telephone
bridge on 9 April 2008 at 03h00 UTC (Beijing, 11 am on 9 April; US
Pacific, 8 pm on 8 April). Present: Lee (ChangFeng), Yang (Digital
China), Clark (OASIS); Guests: Feng (Digital China), Song
(ChangFeng); Regrets: Kim (KR NIA).

See agenda at:
http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/cn-openlab-sc/email/archives/200803/msg00003.html

Andy Lee of ChangFeng was elected unanimously as chair of the
Steering Committee.

Andy Lee will consult with the other StC members to set a future
meeting schedule, with monthly meetings suggested for now.

Membership in the Member Section must be solicited in order to run
the required election for 2 additional Steering Committee members,
as provided by the Section's Rules of Procedure. The StC agrees to
ask OASIS Staff to proceed with the announcement of the Section so
that other members may seek to join as 'supporting entities' of the
Section, using the OASIS website tools and e-mail lists. (Best is
to send a message to member-services@oasis-open.org.) The Section
also will ask for members at the OASIS Symposium, and set a StC
election date to begin shortly after the end of the Symposium, so
that the new members also may vote.

The StC also will have a financial reporting obligation to OASIS,
but as a non-revenue member section, this is expected to be minimal
for the time being.

The StC discussed the anticipated EERP TC, which may seek to
affiliate with the MS.

The StC discussed and approved Member Section support for the
ChangFeng Alliance "Visiting Scholars" program described here:
http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/cn-openlab-sc/email/archives/200803/msg00004.html

The StC members will be happy to serve as reviewers of application
for the program, which it is hoped can be announced at the OASIS
Symposium in May. No OASIS or Section revenue or obligations will
be created by this program, administered by ChangFeng Alliance, who
has delegated the lead role to its member company E-Bridge.

Respectfully submitted, JBC
