Subject: Re: [codelist] RE: Can HTML version of genericode documents be (OpenOffice) HTML rather than XHTML?

Thanks for the heads-up, Mary, about the problems.

Since we didn't make last week's deadline, this means that we will
have to push back on the July 10 meeting. What this then means is
that according to the Process section 3.4 we will not make the July
15 deadline for getting genericode out for OASIS Standard
consideration and voting by August 1. The standardization is pushed
back a month, or longer if we have continuing problems creating the HTML.

Mary, the Process sections 1(dd) and 2.18 regarding conformance
clauses are for Committee Specifications finalized after 1 June 2007
... I either misread or misunderstood this to exclude anything in
progress by that date so I thought our specification was
exempt. This came to my attention last week at the UBL
face-to-face. The Committee Draft we finalized does not have a
conformance clause and this has not been flagged as a problem. Can
you confirm if the text you have is satisfactory or not?

I would like to still go ahead with the public review and if we
discover the lack of the conformance section will prevent this
document going from Draft to Specification then that can be treated
as a comment. If the addition of a Conformance Clause is considered
substantive (not sure on my part, since the actual document model
specification doesn't change), then we can add it and have a second
public review for 15 days and still make the deadline for September
voting, assuming we get over the HTML problems by Monday:

Public review start: 21 May 2007
Public review end: 20 July 2007 (60 days)
   Committee meeting: 24 July 2007
Public review start: 27 July 2007
Public review end: 11 August 2007 (15 days)
   Committee meeting: 14 August 2007
OASIS voting start: 1 September 2007

So, with effort, we can get to our objective only one month later
than we discussed at our meeting last week.
