The following text was removed for the MMI definintion of Device association function, since Operators were not yet authenticating to the DE, We should consider reinstating the function in a future versiion.

The device MAY be reassigned to another user at any time using this operation. In this case the previous association MUST be deleted in the Data Engine.
[Non normative implementation note: A possible race condition exists when reassigning a device to a new user. A device MAY be assigned to an artificial Consumer to remove it from an existing Consumer.]
