Paul I think your comments will make good additions. I don’t think we can specify that an individual cannot be given their Consumer ID – but we should specify the level of security for this exchange and that this
should only be done in exceptional circumstances. We can also point out that once this has been done the individual is likely to be the weakest link in the security chain. The main reason that a consumer would want their Consumer ID is to have confirmation
that their data has been removed – so the scenario is likely to be terminal one anyway. I also think we need to be specifying the security requirements around Service Provider – Operator communications that use the ConsumerID.
