COEL Document version 31. Abstract deleted

Hi Joss,

In v31 of the doc, the abstract and
the first few parts of section 1 appear deleted, V30 is where your edits
to those sections appear. (v29 is the last one I uplaoded) Can you check
which of 30/31 is right before i review, just in case there are other changes
you intended that have got lost somehow.
