I agree basically and I can make the DE compliant easily. I like the simplification to only one scheme.

202 Accepted for a good, correctly handled Atoms.
400 Bad Request For 1 or more badly formed Atoms. Try again (1 by1, if necessary).
500 Internal Error. 

401/403/404 are issued by the web server layer, so outside the spec without a lot of development.
