The flip side of it of course is that by the time the Section gets around to it, there may be so many variations and differences between the various flavors of XML that a lot more will need to get undone in order to normalize than would otherwise have been required.

Timing is going to be important. I recommend getting started at the earliest practical opportunity so that someone has a handle on the overview and where the dangers will lie.
