[19:06] Stefan Hagen: CSAF CVRF v1.2 CSD02 WD01
[19:07] Stefan Hagen: Chet - our TC admin - suggested as single motion replaceing all three suggested in Stefan's mail from today: the TC requests a "Special Majority Vote" to advance the Committee Specification Draft 02 and all associated artifacts contained in https://www.oasis-open.org/committees/download.php/61471/csaf-cvrf-v1.2-csd02-2017-08-30-pack.zip as Committee Specification 01. The TC notes that changes have been made since the last public review and that these changes are listed inhttps://www.oasis-open.org/committees/download.php/61469/csaf-cvrf-v1.2-csprd01-csd02-wd01-2017-08-30-non-material-changes-report.pdf. The TC asserts that these changes are non-material in accordance with the definition in OASIS Defined Terms at https://www.oasis-open.org/policies-guidelines/oasis-defined-terms-2017-05-26#dNonmaterialChange. as motion shortcut to replace all three motions
[19:08] Stefan Hagen: Above is a motion sample
[19:08] Stefan Hagen: I move that the TC requests a "Special Majority Vote" to advance the Committee Specification Draft 02 and all associated artifacts contained in https://www.oasis-open.org/committees/download.php/61471/csaf-cvrf-v1.2-csd02-2017-08-30-pack.zip as Committee Specification 01.
[19:09] Stefan Hagen: Beth seconds
[19:10] Mel Llaguno: "Non-Material Change" is any change to the content of a Work Product that does not add or remove any feature of the Work Product and that: (a) constitutes only error corrections, editorial changes, or formatting changes; or (b) is a pro forma change to content required by TC Administration.
[19:11] Stefan Hagen: Omar motion carries
[19:11] Stefan Hagen: Hoorah!
[19:12] Stefan Hagen: Omar thanks all for their work!
[19:12] Stefan Hagen: Next topic JIRA issue list for next versions
[19:12] anonymous morphed into Jamison Day
[19:13] Denny Page: The problem is that the period is part of the URL. The URL without the period works: https://www.oasis-open.org/policies-guidelines/oasis-defined-terms-2017-05-26#dNonmaterialChange
[19:13] Stefan Hagen: @Denny: Thanks - this is the automation in the chat, the also changes semicolon dash open paren into
[19:14] Stefan Hagen: Eric: Would be interested in what people had success and failures with what is currently there as specifications
[19:15] Stefan Hagen: Eric: Himself has longstanding experience in writing XML based specs esp. w.r.t. the extensibility
[19:16] Stefan Hagen: Eric: Adds, that answers would be great also over time on the mailing list
[19:16] Stefan Hagen: Omar: Will take the action item to start the discussion via email
[19:17] Stefan Hagen: Omar: 1 challenges of adaption in industry - extensibility and other drivers or blockers
[19:18] Stefan Hagen: Stefan: 2 start a discussion also on how to find a lean and mean generic modelling to not drown in XML dialect model terms, that make it hard to transfer into other languages
[19:23] Stefan Hagen: Omar notes, that we might be able to find a way to update a fork or the original CVRF parser tool at https://github.com/mschiffm/cvrfparse (license MIT) to v1.2
[19:23] Stefan Hagen: Eric notes, that this will presumably not be a formal "contribution" to the TC (also not necessary, as MIT is permissive license)
[19:24] Stefan Hagen: Stefan is willing to support update and maintenance of the python (mostly client side) library
[19:25] Stefan Hagen: Omar asks if there is interest to create a documentation page (accessible) similar to CTI's STIX/TAXII to drive adoption
[19:25] Stefan Hagen: Vincent adds use cases and "stories" as important to foster adoption
[19:26] Stefan Hagen: Stefan also suggests he will support
[19:26] Stefan Hagen: Omar and Vincent both will help with that
[19:27] Stefan Hagen: Omar will initiate a mini group working call, so those interested these "pages" can create a proposal wire model for the group
[19:27] Stefan Hagen: Eric moves to adjourn
[19:27] Stefan Hagen: Lou seconds
[19:27] Stefan Hagen: meeting adjourned
