Subject: Borderless Cyber Conference Recap (6-8 Dec./Prague)
Dear CTI TC Members,
We just returned from another
successful OASIS event, the OASIS Borderless Cyber Conference and
FIRST Technical Symposium. A special thanks to everyone from the TC that participated on the
program committee and specifically Trey Darley for his role as our FIRST
liaison representative.
The attendees passed along
overwhelming positive feedback on the content, networking opportunities,
location and food. Additional feedback to
help us improve our event is expected from our online survey.
The two-day program
included a range of key topics from STIX patterning to the impact of GDPR on
cyber threat intelligence programs. Slide presentations can be viewed here.
Many OASIS members were
represented on the program. We would like to personally thank them for their
contributions. They include: Sarah
Brown, Dave Cridland, Trey Darley, Alexandre Dulaunoy, Andras Iklody, Chiljon
Janssen, Gershon Janssen, Jason Keirstead, Ryusuke Masuoka, Lisa Mathews, Chris
O'Brien, John Sabo, Thomas Schreck, Rich Struse, Masato Terada, Ryan Trost, and
John Wunder.
The first STIX 2.0
Workshop and Hackathon also took place last week. Over 30 people attended this
full day program. I’m sure Rich Struse,
Trey Darley and John Wunder will be filling the TC in on all the specifics.
We were also pleased to
see the number of proposals submitted this year. Thank you to everyone that
took the time to submit a proposal for consideration.
And most importantly, we
would like to recognize our member sponsors...without your support we could not
have pulled this off. We are sending a BIG thank you to OASIS members --
Anomali, EclecticIQ, Fujitsu, and IBM for your continued support of this
conference series. We hope your experience with us was fruitful and that we’ll
see you back again next year.
Discussions are underway
for 2018 Borderless Cyber Conferences. We hope to be able to bring the TC more
information in January. If you have any feedback or recommendations to share
with us, we'd love to hear from you. Please contact me directly at
jane.harnad@oasis-open.org.
Hoping
everyone has a happy and healthy holiday season.
Regards,
Jane
