Subject: Re: CTI ecosystem and relationships

Hi Tony,

Sorry, I have to ask that you hold off sending messages like this to the cti@ mailing list until after the TC has officially started. I know that it is a pain and you are all anxious to get rolling but our rules require that substantive discussion not start until the first meeting.

Do me a favor and send this again to the TC after the chairs are elected and it is officially convened. Then this will be properly contributed under OASIS rules and the you can all discuss how to incorporate this into the work the TC plans to do.

Hi Chet,

For the upcoming meeting, as discussed, the attached
diagram attempts to provide an initial visualization of the
surrounding CTI ecosystem of global "standards" bodies
with whom some level of relationships and cognizance
seems appropriate.  The rather large and complex NFV
forum is provided for comparison. They have effectively
identified and managed a variety of relationships.

This is really a group exercise, as CTI's effectiveness will
in part be shaped by its ability to engage in continuing
outreach and engagement within this global ecosystem.

The definition of "global" is a fuzzy one, and doubtless
others have a different view at this universe and can usefully
add to it.  This is only an attempt to get this process started
leading up to the first meeting.
