Subject: Role of a TC Secretary


It does not appear that I have anything written on what different roles can do. Pending my drafting something more formal, here are a few of the tasks that a Secretary can take on to help the TC's work. 

Note that Secretary is the other role, besides Chair, that the system displays on the front page of the TC's web pages. 

The Secretary of a TC can: 

- Put events on the calendar and modify calendar events (e.g. by updating the agenda, recording people's attendance)  

- Take and distribute minutes 

- Maintain the TC roster (e.g. update voting rights) 

- Update the TC's web page content 

- Set up ballots 

In most TCs, I see the Secretary take on one or two specific jobs, e.g. take minutes, maintain roster. Up to you all as to how you would manage those responsibilities. 

That however covers the scope of the activities that typically can be considered as falling under a TC's purview.
