The points you and John make are quite reasonable but I continue to think that hashed references MAY be a useful tool in our toolkit
in certain circumstances, ie. SROs that point to “ground-truth” SDOs. I’d encourage others to share specific operational examples where they think the benefits would outweigh the risks.

a new and different STIX object), meaning that the 'old' opinion would no longer apply to the new (and hopefully fixed) STIX object.
