Dear all,

After playing a role in fostering the idea + outline of  user council I’ld be more than happy to volunteer for chair/co-chair (2-3  people would be better than 1!) and this way support the community and overall improvement on usability of standards and the value provided for user organizations.

Enclosed my short-bio, further information accessible on my Linked-In profile:

Coming from a background in military information security & operations Joerg Eschweiler has served with IBM and Airbus in leadership positions starting their CySec business in DACH region and in international roles. He pioneered establishing CySec competence centers for gov and commercial entities (e.g. CERTS, CSIRTS, ISACs) incl. exchange and mission accomplishment across silos which includes exploring, advocating and leveraging new ways and innovative approaches. This included founding modern forms of cooperation in the Cyber arena (e.g. Community-ISACs, PPPs) and supporting innovative tech use to focus on right capabilities, to meet demand and enter markets. After years in the industrial space he went again on the gov side to support German MoD as they started building out their new Cyber Command and strategic approach towards innovating & incubating sustainable CySec capabilities. After finishing the assignment he moved on to commercial side and joined Atos to fuel progress in Cyber Security and Intelligence, especially reg. civil and national security and critical industries. Having contributed to sharing and collab  approaches (e.g. NCFTA, FIRST  )since years he co-founded and implemented German Cyber Security Sharing & Analytics e.V. as prime non-profit ISAC of German blue chip companies, including multi-level sharing platform. He plays an active role in European strategy and standardization on Cyber Security as CEN CENELEC Cyber Security Focus Group as co-founder and contributor. Further he is involved in ongoing Cyber standardization with OSASI, esp. Cyber Threat Intelligence.

I would see it as honor and pleasure to get this going ,-)

Best regards and wish you a nice weekend,

Joerg

Cybersecurity Standards User Council members (and soon to be members);

One of the first steps at the first meeting of the User Council will to elect a chair (or two co-chairs). Filling your chair role with one or two sharp, progress-minded leaders is a critical key to success for the group!

If you are interested in serving as a Chair or in nominating another individual for the position of Chair, please take a minute to make that candidacy known prior to the first meeting by posting a note to the User Council's e-mail list expressing your interest and/or intent along with a brief statement of your or their qualifications. The meeting will also accept nominations from any qualified persons before beginning the vote.

Also, any of you who have not yet gone to the website and added yourself to the roster, please do so as soon as possible. The convener will be circulating final meeting details to you all in the next few days.

Please let me know if you have questions.
