Now that the DITA 1.2 review effort is behind us, let's get back to
business. A better formatted version of our agenda is on our Wiki front
page.

Cheers,
Gershon

   1. ITEM: Review of DITA 1.2 Spec
          * Review closed on time. Kudos to the reviewers for doing a great job.
   2. ITEM: Shell Model generator developed by Elovirta.
          *

Follow up on discussion and actions recorded in 12 April meeting minutes: Discussed need to provide instructions to help users integrate their Shell Models with various editors. Don Day suggested at last meeting a link to the instructions for adding them to the OT. JoAnn suggested possible page on dita.xml.org with an introduction to why Shell Models might be useful. Marc Speyer volunteered to prepare the initial draft of the reason detre. JoAnn and Hal Trend will advise Jarno on changes to the interface. Marc and Gershon will meet with Hal at the CMS conference to review the generator. Will need to ask the tools vendors to provide instructions for integration to the web pages.
          * How can we drive this effectively moving forward? Not sure revisiting every TC meeting is productive.

Su-Laine wrote a Tools and DITA Awareness topic. From the DITA TC minutes: Consensus that it won't be part of the spec. Jeff had some comments. What is next step? Adoption TC? JoAnn thought it would be appropriate, fits along with Compliance List for example. Consensus to do so--this will go to JoAnn for the Adoption TC.
          *

From this TC's minutes [29 March 2010]: Joe Gelb sent a comment on the Tools and DITA Awareness article. JoAnn requested feedback. The original paper discusses DITA tools and user awareness, but this topic is related to DITA conformance. Members are invited to read Su-Laines draft and provide additional comments.
