Subject: RE: [dita-adoption] Feedback on the "Convenience elements" feature article
I am wondering if the content of the DITA 1.2 spec (Language Reference) is correct L I am going to send an e-mail to either Robert Anderson or the DITA TC with my questions. Best regards, Kris Kristen James Eberlein l DITA Architect and Technical Specialist l SDL Structured Content Technologies Division l (t) + 1 (919) 682-2290 l keberlein@sdl.com Join us at DITA Fest 2011 this fall. Visit http://www.sdl.com/ditafest2011 for details. From: Grosso, Paul [mailto:pgrosso@ptc.com] I'm not sure if Kris meant there was something wrong in the spec or something in the article that didn't agree with the spec, but see PTC comments at http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/dita-adoption/201108/msg00004.html paul From: Bruce Nevin (bnevin) [mailto:bnevin@cisco.com] I’ll see if I can add some tutorial content this week. What, specifically, do you think is incorrect in the spec? /B From: Kristen Eberlein [mailto:keberlein@sdl.com] Whenever possible, I think we should try to include tutorial type content in these feature articles. I don’t think that this article accomplishes that, especially in regard to the information concerning the <topicset> and <topicsetref> elements. The code examples pretty much just are a repeat of the content in the DITA 1.2 spec. A further problem here is that I think that some of the DITA 1.2 spec content might be wrong … L Best regards, Kris |
